Welcome from the organizing committee

Dear colleagues and friends, 

It is with great pleasure that we announce the 2018 HKSSiH Annual Scientific Conference, to be held 20 – 21 October 2018. Doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, educators and all other professionals interested in simulation are invited to join us for this important event.
 
This year, the theme of the event is “Simulation for Healthcare and Beyond”. Our main programme will feature local and international experts from various fields, including Hospital Authority, local universities, Fire Services Department and Government Flying Service to share with us the use of simulation in different settings. During panel discussions the audience will have the opportunity to engage in an interactive exchange with experts on simulation.
 
We also welcome abstract submissions for free paper presentations and the poster exhibition. 
We look forward to seeing you in October 2018!

Abstract submission: ​​

  1. Abstracts must be typed in English.
  2. Format:
    • Single line spacing
    • 12-point font
    • Times New Roman
  3. Authors:
    • The authors’ names should be presented with the surname first followed by the initials.
    • The highest qualification, and primary affiliation of each author should be included.
    • The name of the presenting author should be underlined.
  4. Text:
    • Background and Purpose, Methods, Results, and Conclusions should be included
    • Word limit: 300 words.
  5. Information of presenting author:
    • Details of the presenting author (including name, postal address, and email address) should be provided at the bottom page of the abstract submission form.
  6. Abstract submission:
    • Save your abstract file as HKSSiH_Abstract_Name.doc (for example: HKSSiH_Abstract_PaulChan)
    • Email the completed abstract to:info@hkssih.org.hk
  7. Important Dates:
    • Submission deadline: 31 August 2018
    • Abstract result notification date: 15 September 2018
  8. Remark:
    • Please DO NOT put any tables or figures in the abstract.
    • Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.
    • Each presenting author can submit no more than 2 abstracts.
    • Top 10 abstracts will be published in the SiH Journal
